Foundation Crack Filling Services From BZ Construction

While cracks in your foundation are a normal occurrence, they could lead to bigger problems if left untreated. Many homeowners wish to fill cracks for cosmetic reasons, and others are concerned about leaks appearing. No matter your reasons, BZ Construction offers foundation crack filling services to repair, restore, and protect your home or business.

Dangers Of Poured Foundation Cracks

Whether it's a single large crack or a collection of smaller cracks, signs of poured concrete foundation damage are hard to miss.

Small hairline cracks are expected after a poured foundation has settled. These hairline cracks are usually less than 1/8 inch thick and will normally appear in the first few years after construction. However, larger cracks and cracks that continue to grow signal that repairs are needed.

If a crack penetrates through the interior and exterior surfaces of your foundation, then it’s only a matter of time before water leaks become an issue. Once that happens, freezing water can expand and force cracks in the concrete to grow even wider.

Fortunately, sealing cracks in your poured concrete foundation can help prevent future leaks from becoming an issue and improve the look of your home or business.

PLEASE NOTE:

While most signs of cracking in poured concrete can be repaired, in some extreme or rare cases it may signal that your foundation is structurally compromised. We value your safety and will notify you immediately upon inspection if we suspect that your foundation is unfit or poses any risks to you.

Our Epoxy Crack Injection Process

  • We first inspect your foundation for cracks on interior and exterior surfaces.
  • If there are exterior cracks, we dig out the ground directly around the areas to fix, since we want to avoid disrupting the soil conditions around your property too much.
  • Next, we prep any damaged interior and exterior surfaces by drilling injection ports at regular intervals into the foundation cracks.
  • Then, we pressure force the epoxy resin into the injection ports. This high pressure causes the resin to completely fill even the tiniest gaps in your foundation cracks from the inside out.
  • Working from the bottom to the top, we completely fill and plug each injection port before moving to the next one. This process continues until we have completely sealed any damaged areas in your foundation.
  • After the resin cures, we inspect the results to check for quality-control issues and verify that all cracks are fully sealed.
  • Finally, we clean up the surface of your repaired concrete foundation and remove any residual materials left during injection.
